Southern California Media Group’s Annual Hard-Back Art Book Honored as Best of Its Kind by the Western Publishing Association

Los Angeles (April 29, 2017) — Where Guestbook Los Angeles, an annual custom book, has been awarded one of the publishing industry’s highest honors—the coveted Maggie Award for “Best Annual & One-Time Publications (Circ under 75k/consumer)” of 2017—by the Western Publishing Association (WPA). The award was accepted by Southern California Media Group’s Art Director Carol Wakano and Los Angeles Editor Suzanne Ennis on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the annual awards ceremony held at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles.

The WPA’s annual Maggie Awards Banquet is a prestigious gathering of publishing professionals from 24 states among the western United States who wish to promote the pursuit of excellence in the publishing and media industries. The banquet honors the achievement and excellence in print and electronic publishing in over 100 editorial, design, promotional and event categories. It is the culmination of WPA’s primary objective to inspire the publishing community to do their best work, to foster creativity and provide the tools, training and information for growth and success.
