Southern California Media Group publishes upscale magazines and hard cover books that are placed in hotel rooms throughout the world. We are seeking an energetic, organized and outgoing individual to manage our hotel relationships. Take charge with this fun and diverse role. The position has many facets:
+ Write and edit our monthly concierge newsletter
+ Create and send weekly email blasts using MailChimp
+ Plan events at upscale fashion and fine dining establishments
+ Visit hotels in San Diego to promote our products
+ Be visible in the hospitality industry as our representative
+ Interface with printers and distributors to monitor magazine circulation
+ Maintain records for circulation audit
+ Manage office functions including answering telephones, invoicing and supplies
+ Support sales team with collateral material
+ Attend art gallery, restaurant and retail openings and industry events
+ Manage social media communications
The position is full time. You will receive salary, benefits and participate in our profit sharing program. The office is in Old Town, San Diego. Bachelor’s degree and reliable transportation are required. Knowledge of the San Diego market helpful. We have Mac OS and you will be using MS Office, InDesign, and Filemaker database software.
